A judge formally sentenced Chris Little on Friday morning to life in prison, with no chance of parole for 25 years, in the deaths of Julie Crocker and Paula Menendez.
The two sentences, which are automatic in a first-degree murder conviction, will be served concurrently.
"By your actions you have forever deprived your two young daughters," of their mother's love, said Justice Michelle Fuerst. "Nothing I say today can restore the lives of Paula Menendez and Julie Crocker to those who love them."
Little, a 38-year-old fiberglass salesman from Markham, Ont. killed his estranged wife, Crocker, in her bed in February 2007.
He killed and hanged Menendez - the former wife of Crocker's new boyfriend, sportscaster Rick Ralph - in the garage in a bid to make it look like a murder-suicide by Ms. Menendez.
"You set out to publicly label (Paula Menendez) a suicidal, homicidal maniac," said the judge.
