Police in search of suspects in two separate GTA shootings

Two separate shootings rang out in Toronto Monday evening.

The first incident happened when a woman was shot while inside her west-end home.

Police say the bullet came from outside the woman's Cameron Ave. residence, near the Keele St. and Eglinton Ave. W. area, and struck her in the hand around 9 p.m. Monday.

At this point, police don't know if it was a stray bullet or if the victim was being targeted.

Police were canvassing the area for witnesses.

Half an hour later in Brampton, a man was shot in the back

Police say the 25-year-old man was shot and then managed to stagger into a pizza shop in the Chinguacousy and Bovaird Rds. area just half hour after the first shooting incident. 

He was later taken to a Brampton hospital before being transferred to a trauma centre in Toronto, where he is suffering serious injuries.

Police are now looking to the public's help in catching the suspect.
