    H1N1 Study

    The province is recruiting 3000 volunteers to give blood samples to test for the virus. It's hoped the results will help health officials predict how many people may become infected this fall and better prepare for a possible pandemic.

    Camp Jumoke

    It's a special place for special kids. Camp Jumoke is a camp in Huntsville for children with sickle cell anemia. The kids take canoe trips, go hiking, have fireside sing-a-longs and, of course, meet new friends. These are exciting experiences for any child but especially for those with sickle cell anemia, most of whom have never attended summer camp before.

    Transplant Games

    A team of SickKids transplant patients will soon be heading Down Under to compete at the 17th World Transplant Games on Australia's Gold Coast. The 25-member national team of heart, lung, liver and kidney transplant patients will be representing Team Canada at the Games, which take place August 22 to 30. This is Team SickKids' second appearance at the World Transplant Games. After months of training and fundraising, this year's expanded Team SickKids is ready to go and was sent off in style this morning.
